Baltop, (short for balance top), or balance leaderboard, is the primary money leaderboard on DonutSMP. It ranks players by the amount of money they currently hold and functions as a primary indicator of wealth and economic status within the server's competitive community.

The balance leaderboard displays the richest players on DonutSMP, listing them in descending order of their current money balance. The leaderboard is updated regularly, providing near real-time data on which players have accumulated the most money. Being ranked high on the balance leaderboard is widely viewed as a sign of success and an indication that a player has managed to adapt to the server's economy.

Player balances shown on the baltop leaderboard reflect money currently owned by players, and are not historical earnings or cumulative totals.

The leaderboard is accessible through the /baltop command on the server. After executing the command, a graphical interface opens displaying the 45 wealthiest players. Each baltop page is structured in a 9 by 5 grid layout, with each subsequent page showing the next set of richest players in descending order.

Popular money-making strategies among high-ranking players include:

• Reselling spawners
• Paper game (or other gambling minigames)
• Scamming

Several baltop players have been removed from the leaderboard and banned due to their involvement in IRL trading. The rule is enforced by issuing permanent bans and in some cases, player data wipes.
